Vince Hunter, the center for Lokomotiv-Kuban, shared his recovery plans and outlined what his team must do to secure a win in the second game of the VTB United League playoff semifinal series against CSKA Moscow.
The first match ended in an overtime thriller, with Lokomotiv-Kuban defeating CSKA 97-88. Key contributors for CSKA included Jean-Charles (15 points), Cleveland (14), and Ruzhentsev (13), while Lokomotiv was led by Hadzibegovic (20), Ishchenko (19), and Miller (17). Hunter himself added 13 points in the victory.
Asked about the approach for Game 2, Hunter emphasized the need for increased intensity. “I’m sure we’ll need even more toughness and focus. We dealt CSKA a sensitive blow today. In the second game, they’ll obviously try to hit back and put us in a weak position. We have to withstand their pressure from the very first minutes and respond strongly.”
When asked about his recovery strategy, Hunter said, “I’ll eat well, drink plenty of water, use ice packs, and probably rewatch today’s game.”
